I am an ethical, selective breeder, which means I don’t breed very often. However, it also means that I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that I’m always happy to share with others who are looking to find a healthy, well-bred puppy.
It’s deeply concerning to see so many breeders producing litters with little to no health testing. There is simply no excuse for this, and it’s vital that the public knows what to look for when choosing a responsible breeder. A well-bred purebred dog is far less likely to develop long-term health issues and is much less likely to end up in a rescue centre.
It truly breaks my heart to see so many adult Golden Retrievers being rehomed or listed for sale online. Responsible breeders play an important role in supporting owners for the lifetime of their dogs — helping to prevent these situations and, when necessary, assisting in rehoming to ensure every dog finds a loving home.

Starting from the price of a coffee, I’m more than happy to help you review any puppy adverts you’ve found and guide you on what to look for when searching for a healthy, well-bred puppy.
Health testing is the foundation — the essential building block — of responsible breeding. That’s where we begin. It’s a straightforward, factual step with no need for emotion or urgency. There’s simply no reason to visit or view puppies until we know that the breeding dogs have the right health tests in place to give their puppies the best possible start in life.
