Adoption Process

We take just as much care in choosing our puppy families as we do in hand-raising our puppies.Getting to know each other is an important part of the process — we want to be sure that every puppy is placed in the right home, and that you feel confident and supported every step of the way. This isn’t a quick or rushed process, and we don’t believe it should be. If you’re looking for a puppy immediately, we may not be the right breeders for you.We do operate a waiting list, and there is no cost or deposit required to join. We never ask for any payment until the time is right and everything feels like the perfect match.

Our Puppy Process
We believe that bringing a puppy into your family should be a thoughtful and enjoyable experience. Here’s how our process works:

1. Initial Enquiry - When you get in touch, we’ll ask you to complete a short questionnaire so we can learn more about you, your family, and your lifestyle. This helps us understand what you’re looking for in a puppy — and what kind of home you can offer.

2. Follow-Up and Approval- After reviewing your questionnaire, we may exchange a few emails to clarify any details. We’ll then let you know whether you’ve been successful in joining our waiting list.

3. Waiting List Updates- Once approved, we’ll keep you updated on our upcoming breeding plans. In return, we simply ask that you let us know if you find a puppy elsewhere — it helps us manage our list fairly for everyone. (Please note: breeding timings are guided by Mother Nature, and we can’t always predict exactly when our girls will come into season.)

4. Meet and Greet-  As we get closer to confirming a litter, and timing becomes clearer, we’ll invite you to visit us and meet our canine family in person.

5. Puppies Are Born!- Once the puppies have arrived, we’ll contact you to confirm whether you’d like to remain on the list for this litter or move to a future one.

6. Puppy Updates- Families on our waiting list will be invited to join a private Facebook or Instagram group, where you can watch the puppies grow, follow their milestones, learn about our socialisation programme, and connect with other future puppy owners.

7. Puppy Visits- We usually welcome our families to meet the puppies between weeks 3 and 4, depending on how mum and the litter are doing.

8. Matching Puppies to Families- From week 8, we begin pairing each puppy with their new family. This timing allows us to carry out a gentle aptitude assessment, giving us insight into each puppy’s developing personality. This process ensures every puppy is placed in a home that best suits their temperament — a method that has proven to be both fair and rewarding for everyone involved.

9. Going Home- Puppies usually go to their new homes between 8 and 10 weeks of age. We’ll stay in touch regularly over the following days and weeks to check how everyone is settling in and to offer any support you may need.
