The Golden Retriever Retreat Dog Walking
We do dog walking a little differently here at the retreat.
We find dogs tend to be walked in the same places regularly so we offer location walks so they can get new scents and mental stimulation from new environments.
These walks can be done individually or as a maximum of 2 dogs.
As these walks tend to be further afield, they are out of the house for longer and are perfect for when you are busy for the day.
Prices are based on the walk time ( Not transport time) and are £18 per hour.
Smaller Local Walks are £10 for 20 Minutes, £12 for 30 Minutes, £15 for 40 Minutes & £18 for an Hour.
An extra dog is £5 no matter the length of the walk.

Local Village Walks
DEPENDING ON AGE, WALKS FROM 20 TO 60 MINUTES.
Getting to know each other walks around your or my local villages and fields. Depending on the age of the pup they can be from 20 to 60 minutes on lead walking. 2 Dogs Maximum.

Off-Lead Playtime
30 OR 60 MINUTES
We hire local dog fields in Stewkley, Weedon, and Berkhamsted for off-lead play and walks.
This enables them to really stretch their legs and noses.
Maximum 3 to 4 Dogs.

Ashridge 1.5 Hour Walk &Â Cafe Socialisation
OUT FOR 3 HRS APPROX
A Circular Long Lead Walk around Ashridge Estate.Â
Woodlands - Glorious smells, Great for walking in the shade.
Wildlife - Learning to ignore or not get over-excited.
Doggy Manners with people, children, and other dogs.
Cafe Manners - Learning to sit nicely under the table and not react to other pups and people.
We can work on recall with long lead and treats if 1 on 1.

Wrest Park. 1 Hours Walk
OUT FOR 2 HOURS APPROX.
A long and short lead walk around formal gardens, parkland, and woodland with a dip in the canal if so wishes.
Gardens - Learning short lead walking with other people, prams, wheelchairs children, and other dogs.
Woodland - shade & wildlife.
Canal - Safe entry and exit as well ignoring ducks and water wildlife.
60 Minutes Walk
£5 for an extra dog.
